![]() Most Nationals teams 9u - 13u will play in the League Sports Travel Baseball League. The League Sports Travel Baseball League is a very competitive league made up of teams from all across Oakland County. Typical league play will be ~20 games, with potential playoffs. In addition to our league, our goal will be to play in 3-4 tournaments throughout the spring/summer. Most Nationals teams 14u -18u will play in 6-7 high level tournaments with 16u-18u playing in college showcase tournaments. Our MAIN goals are:
We have an outstanding coaching staff that has a ton of experience at various levels. Our practices are designed to teach the mental and physical sides of the game. Each minute of practice is designed to keep everyone involved with meaningful instruction and drills so that we can get the most out of our time together. Training starts in the fall after teams are formed and continue throughout the winter at various indoor training facilities. Visit our Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/royaloaknationals/ Visit our Twitter Page at twitter.com/RONatsBaseball Royal Oak Nationals Program Director – Mike Morris Along with being the founder and program director of the Royal Oak Nationals Coach Morris is also currently the manager of the 14U Nationals, and he’s also the head varsity baseball coach at Troy Athens High School. Coach Morris has coached at the high school level for 23 years. He’s had numerous players go on to play college baseball. Coach Morris has coached every age group from T-ball through high school. In 2013 he was honored by being asked to coach the Michigan High School East Squad in the Michigan High School All Star Game at Comerica Park. In 2021, 2014, 2008 and 2007 his Athens teams won their league championship. In 2022 his 13U team won the NOBF League Championship and in 2019 His 10U Team won the NOBF League Championship. In 2014 his 10U Nationals team won the NOBF League Championship and advanced to the final 4 of the AABC State Championship. In 2015, his Athens team won Districts and the Regional championships. The Royal Oak Nationals program has been an extremely successful program winning numerous tournaments at all age levels. In 2013 the Royal Oak Nationals started with one 9u team and has grown to have teams at multiple age levels and have developed into one of the top programs in the area. |
